I really do knit!

It's been awhile. I know. It's been so long that I have four FO's and will soon finish my first pair of two at a time, toe up, on one long circular needle socks. (wow, that was a mouth full).

Anyway, here are a few photos of my Mother's Birthday Bag.

I just love this bag and hope to make one for myself.
Specs:
Pattern: Tulip Tote for NONI by Nora J. Bellows
Yarn: 8 skeins Ella Rae Classic Color 26
Needles: Size 11 32" Circulars

My mom certainly deserves this bag and so much more because she can make the best fried chicken and chicken tacos! Love you Mom!

Up next, my Lady Eleanor. She's a beauty. I just need to find the perfect shawl pin for her. Ciao!

That time of year...

Houston Livestock and Rodeo time. This is one of the many things I missed when living away. It's typically a mom/daughter event, as my mom's company buys tickets every year that we score! My mom's so sweet. She let's me pick the entertainer, and this year I picked this man. He's an oldie but a goodie.

Spring Chicks & Knit

The color combination of these two yarns reminds me of spring and easter eggs. I'm using two different Mama Llama yarns, and I love the mixture. One is Merino/Tencel in colorway Berkley and I can't find the label for the other one. Maybe Mama Llama herself can tell me what the other one is.

ETA: Mama Llama has informed me the other yarn is Jump.

I like to Stir 'em and Shake 'em

Through one of the regular blogs I read, I found this contest. As you can see, I collect Swizzle Sticks and Dice. I have another collection, Pez, that's way too big to photograph. Maybe someday I can manage to get them all out and take a picture.

Pictures of my progress on Lady Eleanor to come soon.
